The next day I finally did some laundry! We had the whole morning free to explore Paris, so we did just that.
We woke up late though because they love to wake us up so early. Since this time we didn't have to, we woke up late, did laundry and then started browsing around.
The plan was to meet in the Louvre Museum at 4:00. The girls and I went inside the museum. It was HUGE!
The fist thing we heard was that there was no way that we were going to see the whole thing in just one day. I wanted to walk around the area because it was really cute.
We went to see the Mona Lisa, which was very protected, but the best thing was that we could take pictures of the painting.
After seeing that and a few more paintings me and a Syracuse girl, Lynsey, went to walk around and shop around.
The first thing we looked for was a Starbucks. For some reason the first day we got to Paris it was soooooooooooooo hot, and for the rest of the time it was just too freaking cold. So we found the Starbucks and I bought myself a mocha.
Lyndsey and I found a huge park where we made a couple take a picture of us. The park was really pretty.
We later found out that it was a royal palace (one of the many).
We then had to meet back at the museum because we were to have dinner there!
Yup, once the museum closed, we were to eat at the Le Louvre Restaurant! I of course was so excited.
Both my group (blue) and the other group (orange) were there so I finally got to see Ashley (who was not at all happy that she was the only black girl in her seminar). I was glad to see a familiar face! We sat together and we talked and talked like old friends.
We were to pay 15 euros for non-stop wine, we got white wine once and the rest was red. I HATE red wine, so I paid the 15 euros for nothing because I didn't even drink it.
Later we went for a ride on the Siene River. We passed through a place where Princess Diana died. There is a gold statue to show where she died.
The funniest part about the whole river thing was that there was this woman following our ferry. She would RUN from one bridge to the other and waved, which then everyone on the side of the boat where I was sitting would start the wave too. It was too funny! There was a huge gap between one bridge and another, so we thought we wouldn't see her. Well she took a taxi and met us at the bridge. She was too funny. Then she waved bye and we didn't see her again...
Once the boat docked, we were dropped off near the Eiffel Tower. Oh my god, the line was too much. It was freezing and we had to pay extra for going up in the elevator instead of the stairs. None of us wanted to deal with that cold, so unfortunately, I didn't go up the Eiffel Tower.
After all this we returned back to the Spanish club that we had "discovered" the night before.
